Tucked into a highly coveted Los Angeles neighborhood, this classic English modern estate offered us the perfect clean slate to create the luxe-yet-functional home it’s owners desired. Keeping their busy social life in mind, we crafted an Old Hollywood-esque living space suited to entertaining friends and hosting family game nights alike. A highlight of the living space were these handcrafted window treatments by a textile designer from New Zealand. We felt that they perfectly displayed the families love of travel and artisanship, while maintaining that sense of elegance
Oozing with charming features like bevel glass and black wood floors, this older house needed a bit of a refresh for a young family of five with a flair for entertaining. We took a fun, light hearted approach to the entire space, delivering a high end classic modern style that was both livable and honored the traditional elegance of the home.
Our client, a highly driven bachelor with a taste for luxury, longed for a peaceful sanctuary to come home to. His Orange County gated community home offered a clean palette for the modern masculine vibe we crafted, with layers of linen, leather, unvarnished metals and fresh, calm tones.
Home to an extremely busy family, this LA ranch style house – and its entertaining-friendly layout – wasn’t being enjoyed to its full potential. So, we focused on re-energizing the space with natural light from the lovely paned windows and elevating the in-house experience by honoring the owner’s highly distinguished taste. With thoughtful editing, we hand-selected sentimental accessories that added a meaningful, personal touch and balanced the fresh, breathable atmosphere we created.
A designer herself, the owner of this San Diego bungalow had a collection of eclectic items getting lost in this outdated space. We unified the rooms and brightened up the whole place by painting and redoing the floors. The newly clean background allowed her cherished finds and vintage style to pop among the modern pieces we added, purposely creating the soulful vibe that brought her much joy.
Closed-in walls and cloying carpeting made this 70’s style home feel dark and cold- the complete opposite of this warm, newly retired couple. With the addition of skylights and French doors, we brought in the light and, by removing walls and elevating the ceilings, we crafted a new dining area for the family gatherings our clients’ hold so dear. With a nod to the matriarch’s traditional, pulled together style, we were delighted to create a welcoming home for their next chapter of life.
Evolving from sunken ceilings and compartmentalized living spaces to a light, open concept, we were able to create the sleek, super functional home of our clients’ modernist dreams. Every detail was considered, from a kitchen layout customized to accommodate their natural cooking flow to the use of durable, easy to maintain textiles to reflect their streamlined lives.
